Some of you might already know that I have the Greddy TD-06L2 turbos on my car Damn those turbos…At 18PSI of boost I have no control in third gear. Turbos start to make boost around 4800RPMS but when they kick in you get the feeling that you got hit by a train. Planning changing the wastegates springs and I will raise the boost to the max. My engine so far (knock wood) after so many hard runs on the highway behaves like is supposed to, taking into account that I am still on stock pistons, rods, cams, sprockets. I have new piston rings, 1.2 tomei head gasket, jun valve springs and lots of head porting. Did cylinder pressure test and all cylinders are between 145PSI – 148PSI Call me crazy for keeping my engine stock with those turbos but let me tell you this. Supra guys can do it!! Why not we!! Somebody has to try and am taking the risk to be the one to break 1000hp on stock internals. I remember six years back when somebody asks the question “How far you can take the stock Z engine” The answer was around 500 at the engine. Then few years later somebody tried and took the engine a step further and the answer was 600 later 700. My brother did 840 on a stock engine. You got my point!! I am taking the next step. If it blows I will check the reason and if its because of the stock internals you bed on it that I will come here and tell you about it. My brother as I said before did 840hp (690whp) on stock engine with 60shot of NOS and still runs perfectly. I am planning taking the car to the dyno as soon as the weather temperatures goes down and I my objective is to go over 1000hp (840+whp) with 60shot of NOS. Till then you can shoot your flames ?
